Dr. Svetlana Verhoeven-Iliazova is a Russian national, born in Irkutsk and married to a Belgian citizen.  She obtained the degree of doctor/ophthalmologist, with distinction, at the Irkutsk State Medical Institute.  She first worked for some years at an ophthalmological clinic in Irkutsk and later opened her own practice.

She left Russia for Cyprus in 1996 and was then invited to cooperate in a scientific project at the Paediatric Ophthalmological Clinic in West Palm Beach in the USA, after which she returned to Cyprus.

She specialized herself in anti ageing medical treatments for a number of years, attending courses, congresses, seminars and workshops in Belgium, France, Italy and Sweden which she continues to do on a regular basis.

Dr. Svetlana Verhoeven-Iliazova is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology.
